Abstract-Related Awards

CFAS Student/Resident Award
Presented to the top two highest scoring abstracts and is open to medical students/interns/residents and undergraduate/graduate students.
Prize: Airfare / 3 nights accommodations / Complimentary Registration / $750 |
CFAS/Alpha Exchange
A travel award for the winner to present their work at the next meeting of Alpha, the international society of clinical embryologists. Because Alpha only meets every two years, this award is only presented in alternate years, at the CFAS meeting preceding the Alpha Meeting.
Prize: $2,500 |
Best Basic Science Paper
The top 10 (or so) abstracts in the “basic science” category are identified (oral or poster presentations) and listed for judging at the Annual Meeting.
Prize: $750 |
Best Clinical Paper
The top 10 (or so) abstracts in the “clinical” category are identified (oral or poster presentations) and listed for judging at the Annual Meeting.
Prize: $750 |
Best Psychosocial Paper
Presented to the top oral communication and is selected on-site at the CFAS Annual Meeting.
Prize: $750 |
Dr Marinko M. Biljan Memorial Award
This travel award is intended to recognize a Reproductive Endocrinologist / Fertility specialist who has made a distinguished contribution to clinical research.
Prize: Airfare / Accommodations to the BFS Annual Meeting. |

Award of Excellence in Reproductive Medicine
An honour reserved for members of the Canadian Andrology and Fertility Society for an outstanding contribution to and leadership in the field of Reproductive Medicine and Science.

Care and Life Award
A patient-focused award intended to recognize distinguished, self-directed achievement as evidenced by commitment, initiative and innovation in either service or research.

This a special recognition awarded to an individual for extraordinary commitment and proven long-term contributions to the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society and the field of Reproductive Science and Medicine.
