The CFAS Nurses Special Interest Group (NSIG) was established in November 2004 at the CFAS Annual Meeting in Jasper, Alberta. The group is now comprised of over 80 members. The NSIG mission is to provide patient care based on collaboration, education and research.

In order to provide members with a range of resources to enhance their nursing practices, a number of committees have been formed:

  • Executive
  • Membership
  • Standards
  • Education
Additionally, the NSIG has a representative on each of the following CFAS committees:
  • Industry Liaison
  • Continuing Professional Development
  • Government Relations
  • Awards

Educational opportunities, such as Distance Learning via teleconferencing are offered each year. For more information about the Distance Learning program, please click here.
